Your Questions, Answered

1. Can chewing-tobacco users still get cured of oral cancer?

Yes — with early diagnosis and modern treatment, many patients are cured. Quitting the habit improves outcomes and reduces risk of recurrence.

Our goal is to preserve as much function and appearance as possible. With our maxillofacial and prosthetic team, reconstructive surgery, dental rehabilitation and speech/swallow therapy help restore chewing, speech and facial form.

Side-effects may include dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, changes in taste, dental problems, jaw stiffness, speech changes. Our team proactively addresses these with rehabilitation and supportive care.

Treatment cost depends on the stage and regimen. Our patient-care team assists with insurance claims and government-subsidy schemes, working to make it affordable.
